As part of our topic 'The New Forest as a Sustainable Tourist Destination' Year 5/6 visited Aubrey Farm, in Keyhaven, to learn more about arable farming, local produce, recycling and different processes and machinery involved in farming today.
After a wet and windy start, the sun came out and everyone had a fantastic day! Highlights were visiting Lisa's sheep, exploring local produce in the farm shop, climbing in and out of huge tractors and of course the New Forest Ice Cream for the walk back to school.
The trip has given us lots of food for thought for our work back in the classroom and for how we can work together to be a more sustainable community.
Thank you to Mr and Mrs Morgan and their team for organising such a brilliant trip!!
