Girls' Football Tournament

Super Performance Earns 3 wins out of 4!

On the 6th of February Mrs Robinson took a squad of keen, determined and quality footballers to this year's Girls' Football Tournament at Priestlands. With many of the girls only having had four training sessions and with the final session cancelled (Mr Willis was ill) they were not all 'match-fit', but they were all raring to go. The progress made in the training sessions had been really impressive and this was reflected during the afternoon's competition. The team notched up impressive wins against William Gilpin and South Baddesley, before losing to Lymington Junior School (who later went on to take second place). IN the second round of matches they were drawn once again against South Baddesley, whom they beat for a second time. From the look of the results, they missed out on a bronze medal by goal difference only, being pipped to the post by Pennington Juniors. All the parents and Mrs Robinson were bowled over by the girls' impressive performances and we are really proud of their efforts. Well done Girls!!
