Crazy Cricket Competition Event
On the afternoon of the 12th of May, the school field was packed with cricket skills stations, courtesy of the Priestlands School Partnership team.
Staff and pupils from our local secondary school set up a fantastic afternoon of ‘Crazy Cricket’ fun as part of the latest round of virtual competition. Each of the cricket stations focused on a key aspect of the game: batting skills, bowling skills, catching skills and hitting the wicket skills.
What made the afternoon even more fun, was that, although all points were added together to make a final ‘team total’, players competed against each other and the clock to score as many points as possible.
The sun shone and the skills on show were pretty hot too, with players from our Year 3-4 bubble competing first and then players from our Year 5-6 bubble competing in the second half of the afternoon.
Thanks, as always to Mrs Robinson, who was coach, supporter and photographer rolled into one for the afternoon. Thanks also to the staff and pupils of Priestlands for staging the event. Lastly, and most importantly, thanks to everyone who took part, for competing in a true MOSPS spirit.
Fantastic Set of Results
Congratulations to all who took part in the Crazy Cricket Event. The results are now in and MOSPS have smashed it: Two of the Yr 3/4 teams placed 1st & 2nd overall and all four of our teams were in the top 6. The Year 5/6 pupils also performed amazingly well, with our four teams securing the top 4 positions! Well done to everyone involved!
