Lulworth Cove Trip
Y5/6 Trip to Lulworth
On Wednesday, our Year 5/6 pupils headed down the coast to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door to launch their latest Geography topic. The trip included a guided walk and workshop by the Lulworth Education team and a scramble down to the beach at Durdle Door to do some map-work and think about the forces that shape our coast. The conditions were perfect, with sunny skies above and a surging spring tide bringing in an unseasonably large swell; treating us to a live show of wave erosion in action.
The children will bring back what they have discovered about the Dorset’s Jurassic coast and compare it to our local coastline at Milford.
