This week children across MOSPS have been learning all about money!
Maths lessons have been transformed into shops, festival planning zones, party planning meetings and budgeting discussions.
Miss Walton kicked off the week with an assembly all about money and introduced a very special challenge from our friends at Oakhaven Hospice. In previous years, the challenge has only been open to local businesses so we are very honoured to be one of the first schools to be involved.
Each class received a letter from Miss Walton, explaining what the challenge will entail...
They then spent the week improving their understanding of money and coming up with some ideas for how their class might use their £10 to make the most amount of money.
At the end of the week we all gathered in the hall to share what we had been learning about.
We even had a special visitor from Oakhaven who handed out the £10 to each class and told us some more about the brilliant work that Oakhaven does for our community.
What a great week!
We are looking forward to organising our Oakhaven Challenge events now!
