We, Milford-on-Sea CE Primary School Academy Trust, are the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018. We collect information from a variety of sources including families, previous schools, Pre-school settings, Hampshire County Council and if appropriate, other Local Authorities. We hold this personal data and use it to:

 

  • Support childrens teaching and learning
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Provide appropriate pastoral care
  • Assess how well children are doing
  • Complete data returns as required by the LA & DfE

 

This information includes contact details, national curriculum assessment results, attendance information and personal characteristics such as ethnic group, special educational needs and relevant medical information.

 

Until 16 parent(s) may ask that no information beyond name, address and date of birth (and their name and address) be passed on to other services but at 16 this right transfers to the child.

We will not give information about you to anyone outside the school without your consent unless the law and school instructions require us to do so e.g. by the LA. We follow the Hampshire Children’s Trust policy on information Sharing & Confidentiality which can be reviewed in the document below :

 

We are required by law to pass some information about you to the Local Authority and the Department for Education (DfE).

 

There are local arrangements in place where schools exchanges information with other service providers such as the school nurse and the Priestlands Pyramid Parent Support Advisor and the Family Link Manager.
