Home Learning

• Your child will be provided with a 3 day digital pack of Home Learning activities appropriate for their Year Group.

These activities will cover fundamental learning skills in English and in Maths, rather than being linked to current class work.

(A paper version of this pack will be available if requested and can be collected from the red box outside the staff entrance to the school.)

• Your child should bring all completed work to school on their return and submit to the class teacher.

Remote Learning

• Day 1 -  Class will work from a pre-prepared 1 day pack of materials covering age-appropriate fundamental skills rather than a continuation of the curriculum. The class will be covered by an LSA from their bubble. (This will give the teacher time to create Remote Learning materials)
• Day 2/3 - Teacher will create and upload Remote Learning Powerpoints  which will be a continuation of  curriculum learning and include voice-overs and video demonstrations from the teacher. The class will be covered in school by an LSA from their bubble, or cover staff.
• If sickness is at such a level that the absent teacher is unable to work from home, then supply cover will be arranged.

• Your child will be provided with a pre-prepared 1day pack of Home Learning activities.

Yr R –Tapestry

• The class teacher will communicate with your child through Google Classroom/Century/Seesaw/Tapestry to support or motivate them and make sure that your child is keeping up with curriculum content.
• The class teacher will monitor all work submitted, but will provide individual feedback to selected tasks only.
• Your child will receive a phone call from their class teacher and/or invite to a video conference - either via Google Hangout/Google Meet, or Zoom.

• Days 2-14 Remote Learning (excluding weekends/Bank Holidays/INSET Days) - your child will have access to daily teacher input and follow up tasks through their learning platform (Google classroom/Century/ Seesaw /Tapestry) which will give structure to the learning day and direct and focus your child’s learning. Learning will consist of daily English, maths and phonics/spelling and a daily foundation subject lesson (i.e. Science, History, Geography) all of which will continue the curriculum.
• Daily teacher input and follow up learning tasks will be delivered via:

• The class teacher will communicate with your child through Google Classroom/Century/Seesaw/ Tapestry to support or motivate them; make sure that your child is keeping up with curriculum content and adapt future teaching to address misconceptions.
• The class teacher and/or LSA will monitor all work submitted, but will provide individual feedback to three selected tasks only per week. Feedback may take the form of audio/written notes attached to individual pieces of work.
• The class will receive an invite to a video conference at least once a week - either via Google Hangout/Google Meet, or Zoom.
• If sickness is at such a level that the absent teacher is unable to work from home, then cover will be arranged to ensure learning is uninterrupted.

In the event that we are offering provision to  vulnerable pupils and children of Critical workers, these pupils will access similar home learning/remote learning activities (provided by their class teacher) at school - under the supervision of available staff (Senior Leadership and Learning Support Assistants).

Class teachers will be in charge of planning, delivering and assessing home learning/remote learning for their classes.
