Last term, during Art, Year 5/6 learnt all about sculpture.
We studied the work of famous sculptors Henry Moore, Anthony Gormley and Edgar Degas.
We also had a go at creating our own sculptures using different materials including foil and clay.
We each created a final outcome using clay. The criterion for our final piece was that it had to represent ourselves in some way. For example, lots of us chose to create a sculpture linked with one of our favourite hobbies, or linked with our family or friends. Some people chose to base their sculptures on something that is important to them, like the environment.
