Sports Day 2021

With so much being different this year, we thought it would be a good chance to mix things up a little bit with our sports day format.

Niall and Cameron from New Forest Soccer were drafted in with the remit of making the day FUN and INCLUSIVE – and I think it is fair to say that they came up trumps!

The running track (a huge thanks to Mr Mantock for marking the lines!!) was edged on either side by colourful and vocal supporters cheering their House Team-mates across the finish line and both Niall and Cameron kept the energy levels high as staff coordinated a range of races and relays.

With three separate events over the course of the day – Year R, KS1 and KS2 - the sound of laughter and cheering filled the school field from 9:00 until the close of the school day. It was lovely to see every child across the school competing in a number of races, giving their all and smiling away, whatever position the crossed the line!

When the points were totted up, the Year R and KS1 event was won by Patrick and the KS2 event was won by Andrew.

Although they didn’t win either event, the efforts of the competitors from George earned them the position of ’most house points over the day’, so well done to Patrick, Andrew and George!!

All the House Points earned over the day have been put towards the overall House Totals for this term. I wonder who will be crowned overall winners?
