This term, some Year 6 children have had the opportunity to take part in The Acorn Project.
The Acorn Project is run by Oakhaven Hospice, in Lymington, and gives the children an insight into the wonderful work that hospices do. All the children in Year 6 had the opportunity to apply to take part in the project and the teachers had the very difficult task of reading all the applications and choosing the lucky 16 children. The children spent four weeks visiting the hospice and getting to know the patients and volunteers. They have also been taking part in some arty activities linked with our Geography topic of Investigating Coasts.
