We were very excited to welcome Tara from Monkey World Rescue Centre. She told us all about the groups of monkeys at Monkey World and that a baby monkey named Cosmo has recently been born who is a Woolly Monkey. Orangutans have really long arms- 2 metres and we tried to stretch out our arms to see if we had the same span! We learnt about how they care for the monkeys and what they eat and drink - in the summer they sometimes make giant ice lollies for the monkeys (we thought that sounded great fun!) Thank you for coming Tara, this has really kick started our animal topic and we are excited to start learning!
