Yr 3/4 Netball Tournament

Unbeaten and Victorious!

On the 1st of May, our Yr 3/4 Netball team attended the Priestlands tournament, all eager to represent the school after enjoying the Tuesday club. The tournament used the ‘High 5’ format of the game, which sees teams of 5 playing against each other and players rotating around positions.

The weather was spring-like and all of the children seemed to have springs in their feet; jumping high to catch and intercept and scoring plenty of goals. Over the course of the afternoon, the team managed to net an incredible number of goals and the resolute defence only let in two, and this saw them end the event unbeaten.

Mrs Robinson was very impressed with the whole team, who thoroughly deserved to come home with gold medals and the winner’s trophy. She gave a special mention to Ewan, who captained the team superbly with his enthusiasm and encouragement.

A big thank you to coach Brown for her work with the team in the build-up and on the day and also to the parents who cheered on from the side lines.

Well done all!
