Yr 5/6 Netball

Yr 5/6 Netball team Secure Silver!

On Wednesday 8th May it was the turn of the Yr 5/6 netballers to put into practice all they have been learning at their weekly after-school club. Having played a few games in the league, they were really excited to play in a tournament format and keen to pitch themselves against the local schools.

The afternoon got off to a flying start, with a comprehensive victory over William Gilpin and this was followed up with a second victory over Lymington. This placed the team in the Champions league for the latter part of the afternoon, where they played against Pennington and Brockenhurst. They beat Pennington 5-4 in a really close game, but lost out to the eventual champions, in their final game. It was a fantastic afternoon of netball and Mrs Robinson and Coach Brown were really impressed by the way that everyone on the team played. A thoroughly deserved second place, with silver medals to take away as a momento. Well done to all on the team, to coach Brown, to Mrs Robinson and to the parents who helped with transport and cheered the team on.
