Global Neighbours GOLD Award
We are thrilled and incredibly proud to announce that MOSPS has been awarded The Christian Aid Global Neighbours Gold Award. The accreditation celebrates schools that are helping pupils learn about global poverty and the Christian responsibility to tackle it, as well as giving them the tools to play a confident part in creating a fairer world. This is a big achievement that has taken several years of implementation and only four other schools in the country have achieved Gold Status.
This represents the hard work of all staff and pupils at the school over the last few years in embedding our We CARE values and ensuring that we teach the whole child, making sure they become global citizens and courageous advocates of change.
During the assessment day, the inspector spent time looking at children’s work, the school’s curriculum and enrichment activities. The assessor also spent time talking to staff, members of the community and our amazing pupils – who spoke with passion and confidence about issues of diversity and equality, poverty, climate change and more.
