Kingdom of God
In the Summer Term we looked at our Kingdom of God unit.
We looked at the story of when Jesus's disciples met after he had returned to his Father.
They were graced by the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages and flames appeared above their heads.
This was when the Church began as people all around the world wanted to join with one another to praise God.
We began by looking at the Big Frieze picture and coming up with titles, statements and questions about the picture.
Then we looked at the symbols from the story and tried to make sense of them.
After learning about Pentecost, we then used the symbols to retell the story.
We thought about our own experiences at Church and how it is used in our community.
We then used our art skills to create painting of what we thought the Holy Spirit might look like.
