A Day in the Life...
Victorian Day
Our Lower Juniors travelled back in time for a fitting end to their latest history topic. Last Monday saw the school crawling with street urchins, servants and chimney sweeps, as the pupils dressed for their parts. The teachers and LSAs too came in costume and seemed to really enjoy becoming ultra-strict teachers, complete with canes and dunce hats.
After a morning of Victorian school lessons, including recitation, PT drills and handwriting with ink, the pupils created a ‘Living Museum’ and invited parents to come along and interact with a wide range of exhibits.
It was a fantastic day for all involved. A big THANK YOU to the staff who worked so hard to put it all together.
