English - The Three Little Pigs
The children in Year 1 and 2 have been reading the story of The Three Little Pigs and have been learning how to retell it using Talk for Writing. They practised each section using the actions and many different games to support. The Year 1 children then made a story map of what they had learnt using the pictures and adding key vocabulary where needed. The Year 2 children drew their own pictures for their story map and thought of new vocabulary ready to uplevell their writing.
Once we had written the story, the children enjoyed thinking about what the wolf had done wrong and how it was important to say sorry.
So the children imagined they were the wolf, and had to write a sorry letter to the Three Little Pigs.
