Puppet Workshop
On Tuesday 31st October, Year 3/4 attended a puppetry workshop with Bertie, who told us all about the history of different types of puppets, and gave a demonstration of a classic Punch and Judy show. After that, he showed us some sock puppets and taught us how to bring them to life, using different voices and movements – and even some dance moves!
We had a chance to explore different sock puppets, by giving them names and creating scenarios for us to interact with the puppets and put on short shows.
We were all inspired by Bertie and his amazing puppets to make our own sock puppets. This also led to some fantastic English work, writing instructions on how to make our puppets.
We had an amazing time with Bertie and felt like true puppeteers by the end!
