Year 3-4 Get Up Close & Personal With Endangered Animals at Marwell Zoo
On Thursday 12th March, our Lower Juniors visited Marwell to round off their Science and Geography topic on endangered animals. They followed the ‘Threatened Species Trail’ around the park and discovered that habitat loss is the main threat to many vulnerable and endangered animals. From collared lemurs to the majestic Amur tiger, the animals put on a good show, despite the cold wind and occasional shower. The trip was followed up on Friday, where the children considered the conservation role that zoos, like Marwell, play.
