Roman Museum 2015

Year 3 and 4 Roman Museum

On Monday 14th December, Year 3 and 4 opened an exciting, new museum to teach visitors all about the Romans!

Before this amazing event could occur, much preparation took place.
At first, children used persuasive language to entice their families and friends to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Here are some examples. Would you come?

To Mummy and Daddy,

I invite you to the tremendous opening of our Roman museum at school, on Monday 14th December 2015 at 2pm. How could you ignore such a breath taking opportunity?

This is a fascinating once in a lifetime opportunity that will stay stored in your mind forever. An intelligent person like you would surely have to come to this memorable moment in a life! Surely you would agree that an invitation to go back in time to meet real life Romans would be the best thing ever! The fact is, never before seen artefacts will be on show, there will also be some extremely fun Roman workshops.

I know you are busy, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see real life Romans, which will blow your mind! You will feel superb after this Roman adventure.

As you can see, I’m really looking forward to you coming, it will be so exciting! Finally, you will not cry yourself to sleep ever, as you are obviously coming to this magical Roman world! Without a doubt, this will be the best museum EVER!

See you on the 14th of December, you won’t regret it!

Dear Mum and Dad,

You are invited to the first class opening of the memorable Roman museum, on Monday 14th December at 2pm. How could you turn down such an invitation? You have been to many events, but you have never been to one like this.

The vast majority of museum openings are boring, but you have never been to one of mine. First of all, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and there will be splendid special surprises. The second reason you should come is there will be breath-taking artefacts from over 10,000 years ago! Furthermore, you can travel back in time and meet real-life Romans.

I know you are busy, but you have missed lots of other events and this is the time to make it up to your special daughter. Please take an hour or two off work to come and see this tantalising opening just for one afternoon.

Therefore, if you don’t come you will spend your days wallowing, just wishing you could get this memorable day back.

Can’t wait to see you on the 14th December,

Yours Faithfully

Izzy

On the day children had many roles such as:

Talking exhibits – Real life Romans

Tour Guides

Roman Army School

Workshop leaders

The Roman café

e children had a lot of fun and put in a lot of effort to make the opening a success. We were extremely proud of how enthusiastic and grown up they were and as you can see the opening was a roaring triumph!
