Marvellous Mountains
After lockdown, when all the children were back in school we began our 'Marvellous Mountains' topic.
The children loved learning about how different mountains are formed, researching a mountain of their choice, making a glossary and labelling the features as well as identifying mountain ranges in the UK.
The children then turned all of their learning into a non-chronological report on mountains. We think they look fantastic!]
We also had a go at creating our own mountains, we thought carefully about the features and labelled them.
To finish our mountains topic we had a sharing morning with Year 1/2, we all set up our fantastic work in the marquee to showcase what we had all learnt. It was wonderful to see the range of representation for this topic including models, fact files and power point presentations. All children have worked so hard and their work looks incredible!
