DT - Making Bolognese

For Year 5/6 food technology, we have focused on spaghetti bolognese. Throughout this topic, we have learnt where are food comes from, how beef is farmed and the sustainability of different types of food. We have also tasted different sauces that already exist, discussed the nutritional value of a range of ingredients and created our own recipes. Children have then prepared and followed these recipes to create their own sauces. After making them, children said that they would make them again at home and there were a lot of 5-star reviews! Plus, the school smelt amazing too!
