At Milford-on-Sea we aim to deliver a broad and balanced computing curriculum that can be used to solve real-world problems and give children the opportunity to show their creativity. We want children to explore the limitless possibilities that technology can offer to communicate, collaborate and to express their ideas. Children will also need to develop their critical thinking, use logical reasoning and develop their own resilience to detect and correct errors (de-bugging).
Our curriculum seeks to teach children how to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly; considering the impact ICT can have both locally and globally. We aim to provide children with the understanding of both positive and negative outcomes.
We want children to be competent in creating, organising, manipulating and retrieving digital content. We recognise that children need to have flexible skills that can be adapted to new technologies to be used in the future work place. Our vision is for the children to aspire to be the digital leaders of the future, breaking new ground in technology.
