RE - Salvation

Salvation

This half term in RE we explored the question

Why do Christians call the day Jesus died 'Good Friday'?

We began by thinking about things that are important to us and then explored the last Supper thinking about how the people there would have felt. We carried out a conscience alley with a child playing Judas - the 'good side' had to convince Judas not to betray Jesus and the 'bad side' had to convince him to betray Jesus. We then dug deeper and thought about what Jesus washing the disciple's feet teaches Christians and how Christians can follow his example and serve others. Finally we looked at the symbols that represented Easter and made connections with important memories in our own lives and what symbols could represent these.
