Stonehenge Trip
Year 3/4 had an exciting trip to Stonehenge as part of our History topic: ‘Rolling back the Stone' - Life in the Stone Age.
During our busy day, we visited the stones, learned about the Cursus, looked around the museum and even explored the homes that Neolithic people would have lived in. The drizzle didn’t dampen our spirits and we all had a great day out. We certainly left knowing that life in the Stone Age was very different to our lives today.
When we returned to school, we continued our learning with a Stone Age Day that involved us examining some Neolithic poo, constructing our own 'Biscuit Henge' and 'knapping' arrow and axe heads from bars of soap.
