We 'CARE' Courage, Aspire, Respect, Explore
Guy Fawkes
We have had such fun learning about Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot! Our 'big' question was 'Why do we remember the 5th of November?'
After learning facts, we wrote about the events of 1605 and the gunpowder plot.
We thought carefully about how Guy Fawkes would be feeling at different times throughout the event.
We wrote a diary entry as Guy Fawkes after he had been arrested!
We wrote letters to King James to warn him of the plan.
We created our own firework paintings using a range of mediums.
We celebrated the end of our topic with a fantastic bonfire party! We enjoyed hot chocolate with marshmallows, burnt a guy on the fire and held a sparkler! We all loved it!
