Art - Sketching
We have been hard at work practicing our sketching skills in Year 1 and 2. We began by learning what sketching was and then we had a go at tracing the shapes of different flowers and petals. Next we learnt about adding texture to our drawings and we tried different texture techniques.
The children used all of these skills to then sketch a flower from a photograph which took a lot of concentration and all of the children were so proud of their outcome.
Finally we chose our favourite sketch and then added watercolour to these.
