English - Billy's Bucket
The children have been reading and exploring the story of Billy’s Bucket by Kes Gray and Garry Parsons.
The story explores how a boy called Billy has an expressive imagination and how he only wants a bucket for his birthday. He gets super creative and imagines an underwater world where sea creatures come to life!
The children have enjoyed making story maps to recall the different parts, written a setting description using expanded noun phrases, planned a new story changing parts of the original story to a jungle setting and published their stories into their own booklets!
