Geography- What would we see on a journey around the UK?
In this topic, the children have begun to develop knowledge about the world, the United Kingdom and their locality.
They are developing and understanding basic subject-specific vocabulary relating to human and physical
geography and begin to use geographical skills, including first-hand observation, to
enhance their locational awareness.
They have identified the four countries that make up the United Kingdom as well as use compass points to describe their location in comparison to each other. They have identified the capital cities of the countries and discovered some of the landmarks found in each. Furthermore, they compared the capital cities to Milford on Sea and discussed the similarities and differences between them.
