This half term the children investigated what changes happen between spring to summer. For a week, they recorded the temperature in the morning and afternoon and showed the data in a table. They explored what they needed to do to keep themselves safe in summer and to protect themselves from the sun's harmful UV rays. In small groups, the children investigated what fabric would be most suitable to make an outfit out of to wear in the sun. The children explored the fabrics against an agreed criteria and recorded their findings in a table. Using this knowledge, they designed an outfit to wear in the sun. They have explored what changes plants and animals go through in summer.
