Tri-Golf Teams Triumphant At First PSP Event Of The Year!

On Wednesday of this week, our first group of sporting superstars set off to Priestlands to take part in the first inter-school event of the season. Pupils from our Tri-Golf Club (after just one session!) were joined by a handful of  golfers, who were part of the club last year, to show off their burgeoning chipping and putting skills.

The afternoon saw our golfers rotate around eight different stations, each designed to test their accuracy and control with the putter and wedge. Mrs Rand was really impressed with the way both teams from MOSPS tackled every challenge with a smile whilst supporting and encouraging their teammates.

At the end of the afternoon, the points were tallied up and the children waited excitedly to hear where they had placed.

Our Year 5/6 team collected an incredible 297 points which secured them 1st place and our Yr 3/4  team managed a massive 357 points, which meant that they topped their competition as well. Both were awarded gold medals and shields for the trophy cabinet.

Mrs Rand was very proud of everyone who took part, but particularly of Tommy and Wilf, who were awarded wristbands for this week’s sporting value: determination.
